Construction accident on Indiana interstate kills 2
- Two construction workers died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 69 in Indianapolis.
- The accident occurred as the two were finishing road work near the end of their shift.
- The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
It's yet another reminder of the dangers of road crew work: The two workers "were removing the final arrow board" when the accident occurred, Indiana Department of Transportation spokesman Nathan Riggs told the Indianapolis Star. That arrow board -- a directional sign board for traffic -- was struck by a passing pickup truck, whose driver also was injured.
