Dive Insight:
Employee reviews of Power Home Remodeling cited the company's culture of safety, supportive environment and fair pay as some of the reasons the company is a great place to work, especially for millennials, according to Glassdoor.
Gensler employees said the company provides ways to connect, even with such a large staff, and that working with talented and innovative people is a major plus. Glassdoor's profile indicates that the San Francisco-based company brings in between $1 billion and $2 billion per year in revenues and employs between 5,000 and 10,000 people worldwide.
Both companies made their debuts on the Glassdoor list last year, but Gensler is no stranger to industry recognition. The company is the highest-earning U.S. architecture firm, landing at the top of Architectural Record's Top 300 Firms list for the fifth year in a row.
Developers seek Gensler out for projects as varied as the new $250 million McDonald's headquarters in Chicago and the $2.4 billion Shanghai Tower in China, which was recently named the world's best new skyscraper by building research and information company Emporis.
