In the U.S., water projects are flowing freely.
As data center spending shows no signs of slowing, the infrastructure in place for water projects has also seen its own surge in the first half of 2026. The two sectors go hand-in-hand as the giant tech buildouts need to consume massive amounts of water to stay functional.
In that vein, municipalities are also preparing for a future where their water infrastructure is strained and are preparing for upgrades to meet future demand. They should get some additional help from a pending $30.5 billion water infrastructure bill.
