Even though the U.S. unemployment rate is at a level not seen since the Great Depression, the construction industry's labor woes aren't close to ending. In most areas of the country, construction managers are still struggling to fill jobs just as they did before the coronavirus pandemic hit. 

There are several factors suppressing skilled labor across the country, including extended unemployment benefits and a fear of contracting the virus. Construction managers are also dealing with enhanced OSHA compliance complaints and an uptick in internal human resources disputes.

This means that now more than ever contractors need guidance and advice on how to best attract, recruit and retain skilled workers. Read on below for highlights from Construction Dive's ongoing coverage of the issue.
