Catamount is pleased to announce the appointment of James Ferguson as Director of Preconstruction for Catamount Industrial Group. Based in the company’s Atlanta office, Ferguson will serve industrial clients nationwide. He brings more than two decades of construction industry experience, including a proven record of leading preconstruction teams, developing strategic budgets, and managing pursuits ranging from $1 million to $250 million.
Throughout his career, Ferguson has held senior preconstruction and estimating leadership roles with several leading contractors, including T5 Construction Services, McCarthy Building Companies, Reeves Young, Turner Construction, and Barton Malow. His expertise encompasses conceptual estimating, constructability reviews, value engineering, procurement, and project transitions, and is underscored by a demonstrated commitment to cultivating strong relationships with clients, design partners, and trade partners.

In his new role, Ferguson will collaborate closely with Catamount’s industrial clients, design teams, and project staff to strengthen early planning, estimating, constructability, and overall preconstruction strategy.
Ferguson holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
