For the past seven years, American Global has applied for recognition as one of the “Best Places to Work” award, sponsored by U.S. Business Insurance. The awards, evaluated by Best Companies Group (BCG), focus on identifying insurance organizations that demonstrate strong leadership, employee support, and effective workplace practices. To apply, employers must complete a comprehensive evaluation assessment and meet stated participation thresholds for the confidential employee surveys.
While the process can be intensive and demands high employee engagement, Torre Dos Santos, American Global’s Director of Talent and Culture, believes it is thoroughly worth the effort, stating, “While the recognition is meaningful, the real value of this designation comes from the insights and perspectives we gain through the anonymous colleague surveys.” She noted that employee feedback directly influences how we continue to evolve our policies, benefits, development opportunities, and overall colleague experience. The recognition reflects American Global’s continued emphasis on the factors that contribute to a positive and engaging workplace. This year, survey results indicated that American Global exceeded industry benchmarks in all eight categories: Leadership & Planning, Corporate Culture & Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training/Development & Resources, Pay & Benefits, and Overall Engagement. American Global isn’t simply a ‘Best Place to Work’, it meaningfully outperforms other Best Places to Work. The firm was proud and honored to earn its seventh consecutive “Best Places to Work” designation and looks forward to leveraging this year’s survey results to drive new initiatives that will further benefit American Global’s colleagues and culture.
