Catamount Constructors, Inc., a 100% employee-owned general contractor, announces the promotion of Jay Garrell to Project Executive, recognizing his leadership, strong client performance, and impact on the company’s continued growth in Tampa and across its national industrial platform.
Garrell brings 15 years of construction experience across healthcare, Class A office buildings, and large-scale industrial projects. In addition, he has been a key contributor to Catamount’s work with major industrial clients, where his leadership has supported repeat business and strengthened long-term partnerships. He is known for consistently leading complex projects, aligning teams, and delivering results that keep projects on track and clients confident.
Since relocating to Tampa, Garrell has played a key role in strengthening Catamount’s Florida presence. He has helped build project teams, onboard new staff, and maintain consistent execution standards across active projects, supporting the company’s ability to deliver best-in-class projects in a competitive, growing market. In his new role as Project Executive, Garrell will continue to lead project teams while driving operational performance, client relationships, and team development across the region.

Garrell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Southern Polytechnic State University, with a minor in Construction Management and additional coursework in architectural design. He is OSHA 30-certified and holds First Aid/CPR and GSWCC IA certifications.
