American Global is extremely pleased to announce that Kristen Weber has joined their team as Vice President and Head of Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). A former underwriting officer and risk manager, Kristen brings more than 20 years’ experience and a deep understanding of both the SDI market and the construction industry. In her new role, she will serve as strategic lead for American Global’s growing SDI practice, supporting the firm’s continued expansion and notable momentum in the SDI space. Based out of the firm’s Dallas office, Kristen will leverage her expertise in underwriting strategy, risk management, insurance program design, and claims resolution, to provide even greater value add for all our clients, while increasing the overall level of SDI support and service. Kristen succeeds Greg West who has taken another leadership role within the firm.
Prior to joining American Global, Kristen spent four years as an SDI Underwriting Officer for Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she directed underwriting strategy and portfolio management while designing tailored SDI solutions for best-in-class general contractors. Previously, Kristen spent more than a dozen years as a Construction Risk Manager, following an early career rooted in finance.
