Miter, a leading provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM), field operations, and expense management solutions for the construction and field service industries, has been recognized as one of Construction Executive’s 2025 Top Tech Firms.
The Miter platform was included in the following categories: Accounting and Job Costing, Asset Management (Tool, Equipment and Materials Tracking), Document Management/Document Imaging, Financial Technology (Invoicing, Payments, Payroll, Lien Waivers, Tax, etc.), and Workforce Management (HR, Labor Scheduling, Time and Attendance, etc.).
Miter enables teams to manage payroll, HR, expenses, and field operations in one place. The modern cloud platform simplifies everything from job costing to union or Certified Payroll compliance to employee onboarding, time-tracking, expense management, and benefits administration.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized as a CE Top Tech firm,” said Connor Watumull, Co-Founder and CEO of Miter. “We created Miter to provide contractors with the tools they need to build with confidence. Our customers typically report saving 20-40 hours per week on payroll processing alone. That gives them time back in their day to focus on what they do best: building our critical infrastructure.”
Miter serves union and non-union contractors of all sizes, including both specialty and general contractors, spanning various trades including roofers, pavers, traffic controllers, HVAC, and electricians. The platform scales to accommodate growing businesses while providing the sophistication needed by larger operations.
Now in its 23rd year of publication, Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. Published in its Sept./Oct. 2025 issue, the CE Top Tech list was developed by asking more than 1,000 firms that provide technology and software solutions for the construction industry to complete a nomination form.
The information collected included: 1) the firm’s product offerings specific to the AEC industry; 2) the user profile (type and size of firm for which each product is recommended); 3) how each product is sold (by seat, user, license and/or project, etc.); and 4) the number of active users within the past 12 months (by individual users and/or companies). There was no fee to participate and not every firm that completed the nomination form made this curated list. After carefully scrutinizing the data collected, the 2025 list of the CE Top Tech was developed. For more information, contact [email protected]. Note: Some technology firms that did not submit the nomination form by the deadline were included for the sake of completeness.
