Hotels across North America are seeing more guests arrive expecting dependable EV charging as part of a quality stay. Until now, properties have been forced to choose bulky hardware that was never designed for hospitality. Today, Evolve Energy announces the Evo2 Platform, a hotel-native system that combines dual-outlet smart receptacles with intuitive software so operators can electrify more spaces, simplify staff workflows, and elevate the guest experience. Early reservations are open, and the company’s pre-seed round is underway.
First principles for hospitality. Evo2 is not a charger. It does not include dangling cables, spring-loaded wiring systems, payment terminals, plastic screens or mechanical moving plugs. Those are the parts that typically fail in the field. Evolve Energy rethought the problem from the ground up and built smart receptacles paired with software. By focusing on reliable, universal outlets and hotel-native controls, properties gain more usable stalls, less maintenance, and a guest experience that feels effortless.
Universal by design and fast overnight. Each Evo2 unit provides two NEMA 14-50 receptacles in a compact, weather-resistant enclosure. These outlets are universal and work with any Level 2 portable charger in North America, the same mobile connector many drivers already carry. Evo2 supports power levels up to 9.6 kW, adding as much as 44 miles of range per hour depending on the vehicle. Guests plug in at night and wake up ready, while properties avoid the cost and clutter of tethered cables and specialty connectors.
Built to blend in. EV infrastructure does not need to distract from the look and feel of a property. Evo2 uses a low-profile form factor with bollard-style lighting to enhance ambience and safety. Equipment is designed to fade into the environment so parking looks organized and premium rather than crowded by large housings and signage. Charging should serve the guest experience, not compete with it.
“There is no reason EV chargers have to be eyesores in a parking lot, demanding attention and draining budgets,” said Raul Dominguez, Co-founder and CEO of Evolve Energy. “We are building a scalable solution that is architecturally inspired to enhance a property’s aesthetic and safety. It is charging that is there when you need it and out of the way when you do not, and it is a solution that does not break the bank.”
What hotels get with Evo2. Dual-outlet density lowers the cost per usable stall and helps properties expand coverage quickly. Room-key access brings charging into the check-in experience. Folio posting ties sessions to the guest stay for clear billing and easier reconciliation. Customer insights connect charging data with marketing so teams can segment guests, run targeted offers, and bundle perks with loyalty programs. AI-powered automations such as plug and check in recognize guests, predict intent, and streamline authentication. Dynamic load balancing expands coverage within existing capacity. Fast, plug-and-play installs shorten downtime. Portfolio-level analytics show usage, uptime, carbon offsets, pricing, and revenue, so operations teams can manage confidently across multiple properties and track their sustainability goals.
Designed with operators, for operators. Evolve Energy built Evo2 in close collaboration with hotel owners, operators, and facilities teams within the California Hotel & Lodging Association community. The platform addresses practical realities in hospitality: guests now expect seamless amenities; staff turnover demands tools that are simple to learn; budget discipline requires predictable costs; brand standards ask equipment to enhance the property instead of dominating it.
“Outlets plus software is the resilient pattern,” said Aman Khan, PhD, Co-founder and CTO. “By moving complexity into the cloud and keeping the field hardware simple and robust, Evo2 delivers higher uptime, easier maintenance, and a guest flow that feels native to hotel operations.”
Early traction and pilots. Pilot deployments are being prepared in the Lake Tahoe region, where snow, ice, and heavy seasonal demand will test uptime, guest experience, and operational fit. Findings will inform installation playbooks that cover site selection, anticipated guest behaviors, and on-property communication that sets expectations and reduces front-desk load.
The team behind Evo2. Raul Dominguez, Co-founder and CEO, is an ex-Tesla and ex-Rivian engineer who has delivered EV charging projects and hospitality electrification in the field. Aman Khan, PhD, Co-founder and CTO, is an ex-Siemens engineer with deep expertise in industrial systems, IoT, and cloud software, leading the Evo2 SaaS platform and integrations. Together, they describe Evo2 as the first EV charging system built from the ground up for hospitality.
What happens next. Evolve Energy is accepting early reservations from hotels, resorts, and installation partners that want priority access to Evo2 deployments. The company’s pre-seed round is open to support certification, manufacturing, feature development, and early market expansion. Evolve Energy provides hotel-native EV charging that pairs smart, right-sized receptacles with intuitive software. The Evo2 Platform helps properties electrify more stalls quickly, manage access with room keys or mobile credentials, balance loads safely, and elevate the lot’s look and feel through integrated design. EV charging is the first and last amenity guests interact with at hotels, and we’re focused on ensuring it’s always pleasant experience. Our philosophy is simple: electrify more stalls to delight more guests and attract more EV drivers, not just placing two to four flashy chargers out front.
