Dusty Robotics, the construction robotics company pioneering multi-trade automated layout, today announced the availability of its Dusty for Autodesk® AutoCAD® plugin in the Autodesk App Store. AutoCAD is a computer-aided design (CAD) software used for precise 2D and 3D drafting, design, and modeling.

The Dusty Robotics AutoCAD plugin automates the preparation of robot-ready drawings by extracting layout information directly from coordinated multi-trade CAD models. As part of Dusty's comprehensive FieldPrint Platform, the integration supports the complete BIM-to-field workflow, enabling design teams to output print-ready files for the FieldPrinter 2 with minimal workflow changes. The plugin incorporates best practices from thousands of construction projects and automatically organizes drawing elements to optimize printing efficiency for all interior trades.

Field teams can print layouts for multiple trades simultaneously, including edge printing, shadow printing behind obstacles, and curve printing. Dusty Robotics’ compact form factor navigates tight spaces while maintaining Dusty's industry-leading 1/16-inch accuracy.
