Nox Group, a leading large-scale industrial contractor, is commemorating a major milestone as its longest-standing operating company, Corbins, turns 50. Corbins started as a local force in electrical contracting and steadily built a reputation for excellence in key sectors like data centers and semiconductor manufacturing facilities – forming the bedrock for what would eventually become Nox Group.
As Corbins grew, so did the company’s vision. Nox Group was established to unify and scale that growth, bringing together a group of specialized operating companies to manage the full lifecycle of large-scale industrial construction projects. Today, Corbins stands as one of four companies under the Nox Group banner, along with:
- RMCI, a self-perform general contractor specializing in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure since 1990 (acquired in 2023)
- Nox Innovations, a virtual construction design and fabrication firm launched in 2017
- Construction Labels, a tagging and labeling solutions provider established in 2021
With offices in Phoenix, Texas and New Mexico, and planned expansion into Nevada this year, Nox Group continues to grow its national footprint while honoring the legacy that started with Corbins half a century ago.
“Corbins was founded on the deeply human principles of integrity, quality and customer service,” said Nox Group CEO Justin Martin. “Today, those same values fuel our culture across all of Nox Group. We believe empowered people build better, safer projects, and that culture is what drives our performance and our growth.”
William (Bill) Corbin established Corbins in 1975 after earning his electrical engineering degree from the University of Arizona. From the beginning, he built a company culture grounded in honesty and genuine care for employees – often hand-delivering paychecks and personally thanking team members for their contributions.
Corbin’s original people-first approach continues to shape the company’s identity under the Nox Group umbrella.
With a mission to humanize construction, Nox Group is committed to being the fastest and safest builder in the industry. From complex data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities for some of North America’s largest companies to vital water treatment plants serving municipalities across the country, Nox Group delivers infrastructure that helps power, connect and sustain industries and communities nationwide.
“There’s no slowing down when it comes to essential infrastructure like this – the need for more will only continue to grow,” Martin said. “We’ve built a team that can deliver at scale, move fast and do it right. Data, water and chips – That’s what the future demands, and we’re ready for it.”
As Nox Group celebrates Corbins’ 50-year milestone, the company’s business strategy remains firmly rooted in building high-performing teams and meaningful careers while sustainably accelerating growth to meet industry demand. Explore current opportunities to join the team.
