Canvas, the construction robotics company that is empowering people to build in bold new ways, has established a new Customer Success division with the sole purpose of ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
Leading the division as Customer Success Director is Julie Krater. Julie brings 27 years experience in customer-facing roles to this new position at Canvas. In this important new role, Julie will develop the tools, processes and best practices to ensure customers are realizing the greatest possible value from our worker-operated drywall finishing machines.
The resulting Canvas Customer Success “playbook” will provide a concrete way for customers to measure their success as new users of the machines, allowing them to quickly grow their fleet and maximize enterprise efficiency. Julie’s work establishing Canvas’s Customer Success division will enable the company to meet growing demand for its machines and to responsibly scale its business.
Julie most recently was Sr. Manager Customer Success at Zebra Technologies, where she built the customer success function for the newly acquired Robotics Automation division. Her work in this role, similar to the role she is charged with at Canvas, was focused on a “customer first” perspective and incorporated a combination of data analytics, successful and proven processes, and a steadfast reliance on the voice of the customer to achieve its objectives.
“Focusing on customers is always the right strategy,” said Julie while training at Canvas headquarters in San Francisco. “Canvas can solve some of the drywall trade’s most pressing challenges, including the ever-growing labor shortage, but the company can greatly increase construction robotics adoption by laser focusing on customer needs as they incorporate our machines into their workflows.”
Supporting Julie is Zachary Binger as Client Solutions Specialist. Zach comes from a construction background, with recent experience in both project management and estimating. He will operate as the lead point of contact for onsite Canvas machine deployments, providing direction, support and feedback to customer field teams, as well as troubleshooting services.
Zach will also facilitate a continuous feedback loop between Canvas customers and our internal teams, helping us to ensure customer feedback is front and center in our continuous learning and development of our robots.
Says Zach: “Having worked in construction, I believe that contractors are willing to embrace innovation and new technologies, but they want to know that there is someone on the technology team that will serve as their liaison; not only hearing any concerns they have, but also acting on them. I will be that person.”
