In Orange County, Florida, tons of large-scale construction starts, and Big tech relocations are making headlines weekly. However, extended stay options and housing types, especially for traveling workers and client visits near Metro Orlando, are few and far between until now.
Workbnb, Inc., a Nevada-based online travel agency startup, announced "Text-to-Book" capabilities for Construction firms and Tech firms sending or relocating workers to Greater Orlando.
Workbnb's executive staff recently launched Workbnb Lab Orlando and toured several workforce rental homes for extended mid-term stays operated by small hospitality businesses. Attendees included Orlando Economic Partnership officials, Orlando business owners, and adopters of the Workbnb platform. Workbnb, Inc's President Daj'Anique Staples personally styled two of the workforce rental homes.
"Being able to work with operators like Soar First innovations and Sunshine & Blueskies put a deeper perspective on how vital maintaining quality standards are. Coming together to complete and showcase this necessary, purposeful project was an impactful opportunity and experience," says Staples. "We're all in this together, and we're on a mission to produce consistent, stylish, quality workforce rentals to our most essential workers."
Workbnb, neither rents, owns, nor operates workforce rental homes; however, the new online travel agency (OTA) is eager to showcase "Text to Book" capabilities and help Orlando Employers with employee retention efforts.
Workbnb is alpha testing "Text-to-Book" in Orlando to test scalability. Office admins, project executives, and travel managers can text "Workbnb Florida" to 1-833-644-1906 to book temporary housing for extended stays.
Target clientele for workforce rental homes include AdventHealth, Orlando Health, Turner Construction, Batson-Cook Construction, Lane Construction, Gilbane Building Company, Grant Thorton, MircoVast, C2 Technologies, and Cirrus Aircraft, GenH2, Stax Payments, Luminar Technologies, etc.
L.R. Weeden, Superintendent for Layton Construction, says, "This looks like a very scalable product that can disrupt the market in a positive way." Weeden, a Construction executive with over 20 years of experience, recently participated in client interview sessions to ensure Workbnb achieves product-market fit.
Local zoning laws and regulations limit where Corporate dwelling units are permitted to operate. However, Orlando Metro has many opportunities for Workbnb to scale-up inventory. Workbnb also recently joined the Orlando Economic Partnership to support Orlando's tech district growth. By year's end, the Workbnb platform will be providing forward-thinking Orlando Employers access to over a hundred professionally furnished single-family residences, townhomes, duplexes, and condominiums.
