SafeworkCM, Inc.’s founder and chief executive officer Rebecca Jones, MBA, has announced that she will transition to the position of chair on SafeworkCM’s Board of Directors, and current president Domingo Camarano, MBA, DBIA, will assume the titles of both president and CEO of the organization, effective immediately. This planned evolution will provide collaborative executive leadership with a focus on growth and service diversity under Camarano’s expanded role of president and CEO.
Jones founded SafeworkCM in 1992 and has grown the company from a small, women-owned transportation safety and project management company to a multi-million-dollar, small company that now operates as a prime contractor, sourcing key construction management services across a diverse base of market sectors.
Jones’ unique business approach successfully developed the company from a sketch on a restaurant napkin to now being the preferred, flagship small business in the industry offering customer service-oriented and focused construction management oversight. The DBE/SBE firm is passionate about offering services to a diverse client list ranging from education, transportation, municipal, disaster recovery, federal and private sectors.
"The search for my successor began several years ago. When I met Domingo, I recognized that he was the right person, at the right time, to help catapult the company into its next phase of growth and success,” stated Jones. “His entrepreneurial business acumen and deep-seeded dedication to excellence will take SafeworkCM to new heights.”
Camarano has more than 20 years of experience in the construction services industry providing construction management of large-scale capital construction program and projects. He is currently responsible for developing new services and sectors for the continued growth of the company. He has been instrumental in creating a streamlined SafeworkCM ready to take advantage of new opportunities in the industry.
“I am proud to be named President and CEO of such an extraordinary and progressive company, stated Camarano. “The solid foundation and culture that Rebecca has built has helped us to springboard into other markets and grow exponentially in a very short period. I am thrilled to take on this new role knowing we will continue to add to the tremendous reputation and success that she has established in our industry.”
SafeworkCM will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2022. With Camarano as President and CEO, and Jones as Chair, the company is poised to grow exponentially into several targeted market sectors and triple in size in the next five to seven years.
