Inland Empire office
ONTARIO, Calif. - (Feb. 20, 2018) – Steven Gillman has joined HNTB Corporation as senior resident engineer. He brings over 24 years of experience in the construction industry as a senior project manager on high-profile regional programs. Gillman is based in HNTB’s Ontario office and supports the firm’s work on the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority I-10 Corridor project.
In his new role, Gillman supervises and manages delivery of HNTB’s construction management work in a quality, profitable, safe and timely manner. In addition to managing budget, he provides pre-construction support services to prepare, review, and monitor information and reports, and manages the subcontracting process.
“Steven’s leadership skills encompass a willingness to face challenges, develop solutions, and motivate others, all while maintaining effective relationships with clients by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations,” said Khalil Saba, PE, HNTB Inland Empire area manager and vice president.
Prior to joining HNTB, Gillman worked at another infrastructure firm as project manager for 12 years. He was responsible for a wide variety of modernization projects for educational institutions in the Southern California area.
Gillman received EMT training in Yucaipa, California, and served as a volunteer firefighter for Cal Fire in Calimesa, California, for six years prior to joining the construction industry.
HNTB is a leading infrastructure solutions firm in the U.S., with roots to the West since beginning work on Pasadena’s Arroyo Seco Bridge in 1914, the firm’s first year of operation, and has since been involved in some of the region’s most high-profile, complex infrastructure programs.
HNTB’s many signature infrastructure projects in Southern California include Interstate 405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements project, the Tom Bradley International Terminal Expansion for Los Angeles World Airports, and the “Green Build” expansion at San Diego International Airport.
Currently, HNTB is providing design and engineering services for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project on behalf of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and working with the City of Los Angeles to deliver final design and construction support services for the Sixth Street Viaduct over the Los Angeles River between downtown and Boyle Heights.
