Hinckley Allen today announced that Wendy K. Venoit has been named the 2017 – 2018 Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law (ABA FCL). She will lead the ABA FCL for the 2017-2018 bar year and is responsible for organizing three National Programs (Oct. 2017 in Boston, Jan. 2018 in Fort Myers, FL, and April 2018 in New Orleans), a Regional Program on “Construction Insurance” (taking place in four cities simultaneously across the U.S.), and a Construction Trial Academy in February 2018. Venoit is a leading construction attorney and will continue to practice as a partner in Hinckley Allen’s Boston, MA office.
Hinckley Allen has one of the most experienced construction law practices in the nation. At Hinckley Allen, Venoit’s practice focuses on the litigation and arbitration of domestic and international construction disputes, including litigation in state and federal forums, and mediation and arbitration before the AAA, JAMS, LCIA, ICDR, and ICC. She primarily represents EPC contractors, general contractors, and construction managers, but has also represented owners. She is an experienced trial attorney, having handled dozens of construction disputes, some involving claims in excess of $1 billion. Wendy also has extensive experience prosecuting and defending complex insurance disputes arising out of construction projects.
