• A construction worker who was eight floors up on scaffolding at a hotel renovation project in midtown Manhattan in New York City fell to his death Wednesday afternoon.
• The accident happened at the Dream Hotel on West 55th Street, a project that began a little less than a year ago.
• Workers in nearby office buildings saw the fall, and they told WCBS that it was not unusual to see workers on the scaffolding who apparently were not wearing safety harnesses.
