• Authorities in Raleigh, N.C., said a construction worker was pronounced dead after a fall on Thursday at a project site called The Flats on 401 along U.S. Highway 401 in the northern part of the city.
• A caller to 911 said the man had fallen from five stories up on scaffolding at the site where the building is being erected, police said.
• Police said there was no indication of foul play in the death, and they turned the case over to North Carolina Department of Labor officials to investigate how Gabriel Andrade died.
