- A construction worker died Monday in an accident at the site where The Edgewater hotel is being rehabilitated in Madison, Wis.
- J.H. Findorff & Sons, Inc. said a "serious accident" happened about 2 p.m. at the site on the shore of Lake Mendota, but details of the accident as well as the name, gender and occupation of the worker were not released.
Dive Insight:
Brian Hornung, who is a vice president of Findorff, said the company is cooperating with an Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigator who was dispatched to the scene. He did not say why the company is withholding other information. The hotel was built in 1948 and is supposed to reopen next August.
