• William Lyon Homes, reaching north from its base in Newport Beach, CA, has arranged a $520-million purchase of Bellevue, WA-based home builders Polygon Northwest.
• The move adds 4,200 lots in Seattle and Portland to Lyon's inventory, the company said in its announcement of the purchase.
• Chief Executive Officer William H. Lyon characterized the deal as letting the company "realize our goal of becoming the premier Western U.S. regional home builder."
