- Frank Chimento Jr. — owner of Chimento Construction, Chimento Construction Services, and FAC Construction in Parsippany, N.J. — has been charged with not withholding federal or state taxes from cash paid to employees between 2006 and 2011.
- The U.S. attorney's office also accused Chimento of not paying taxes on $1.4 million of his own income and of not sending union benefit payments on behalf of workers.
- The government also charged three of Chimento's employees with bankruptcy fraud, filing false tax returns and mail fraud in connection with a plan to keep the state from getting unemployment money.

Chimento's biggest project was one called Pioneer Square in Princeton. That constituted most of his companies' work from 2008 through 2011. One of the employees charged was Chimento's project manager for the Princeton job. The U.S. attorney's office listed a total of 34 counts against Chimento in its criminal complaint.
