- In Lee's Summit, Mo., Thursday, a worker died when, people at the scene said, he was trapped by a collapse in a trench believed to be 7 to 10 feet deep.
- The worker apparently was connecting a residential sewer line to a main in the street when the accident happened.
- Other workers and fire officials were working to recover the body.
