Taking a big step in enhancing its civil business unit, Skanska USA has acquired builder Industrial Contractors Inc., basaed in Evansville, Ind., for $135 million.
Included in the deal are Professional Consultants Inc., Tri-State Refractories Corp. and Industrial Equipment Inc., all ICI affiliates.
"The purchase allows Skanska to enter the industrial sector in the Midwest and further enhance its presence in the energy sector," Commercial Property Executive's Barbara Murray wrote.
