- The National Association of Realtors' Pending Home Sales Index for May was 101.1, up from April, matching March and 13.3% above May 2011.

- Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the association, said, "The housing market is clearly superior this year compared with the past four years. The latest increase in home contract signings marks 13 consecutive months of year-over-year gains."
