The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown has reported that FedEx wants to do a two-phase project, with the first part opening in 2015 and the second part two years later. Estimates are that the sorting facility could generate 800 local jobs. FedEx filed plans late last year with the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission.
