• In Tigard, Ore., southwest of Portland, a local school district wants $1.5 million from a contractor who it says built a leaky elementary school.
• The Tigard-Tualatin School District sued Robinson Construction of Hillsboro, saying the company used defective materials and did substandard work on the Albnerta Rider Elementary School.
• $1.5 million is what the district says it cost to have leaks repaired and to close the school while the work was redone.
