- In the Midwest, 46& of home builders told the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) that they plan to add to their crews in the next 12 months. The percentages were 39% in the South and 29% in the Northeast.
- Training may have to come with the hiring, however, as 62% of the builders said they think workers may need training to raise their skills.
- The builders' responses also said there probably is a shortage of about 20% in some trades.
