- A July 11 rally in Tampa, Fla., with local officials speaking kicks off a summer and fall campaign in swing states for the November elections. The effort began in South Carolina in January.
- The National Association of Home Builders says the campaign is to "send a message to elected leaders that Americans value homeownership because it strengthens the economy and local businesses, creates jobs and provides much-needed tax revenue for state and local governments."
- The next rally is slated for Detroit on July 20, to be followed by Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 25, Milwaukee, Wis., on Oct. 2, Columbus, Ohio, on Oct. 9, Richmond, Va., on Oct. 11 and Las Vegas on an October date that has not been set yet.
