• The National Association of Home Builders released its 800th local impact study—this one for Kansas City.

• The organization has produced the reports at the behest of counties and cities since 1996. The reports estimate the impact on income, jobs and taxes generated from building 100 single-family and 100 multifamily homes, and from $10 million worth of residential remodeling in the area, according to NAHB.

• NAHB charges a fee for the in-depth reports, but offers free, general information derived from them online.
