The Palazzo di Amore estate in Beverly Hills, owned by billionaire real estate investor Jeff Green, has 12 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms across the main house, guest house and other structures over 25 acres, which include a working vineyard.

Green and his wife bought the property and a partially finished mansion for $35 million in 2007 and spent the next seven years designing and building it. Homebuilder Mohamed Hadid, whose website says he specializes in “projects considered by many to be insurmountable,” was the general contractor.

The most expensive homes ever sold in the U.S. were a $147 million estate in East Hampton and a $120 million property in Greenwich, CT. Joyce Rey, the listing agent, said she expects a foreign buyer to snatch it up since all LA-area homes priced over $50 million this year have gone to foreigners.
