Shoppers who are in love with products from IKEA can now get a modular house designed around IKEA applicances and materials – the Aktiv model from Salem, Ore.-based IdeaBox.
IdeaBox says its new model is "designed by ideabox and appointed by IKEA. Swedish inspired, wide-open living, functional, no wasted space, and full of personality! It’s a house designed to live in … with all the fun, function, and practicality found in every ideabox!"
Unlike IKEA furniture, the 745-square-foot house comes assembled. IdeaBox puts the "typical" price at about $86,500.
The designer says, "Think of it as your own personal euro designer flat – only where you want it!"
