Ahern Rentals Inc. is the country’s largest privately held construction-equipment rental company and the seventh largest overall.
"Ahern was the king of Las Vegas until the market hit the downturn, leaving them with excess equipment," says Michael Roth, Rental Equipment Register's editor-in-chief. "They became clearly overleveraged."
