• A management changer is bringing Michael McKelvy, a veteran of CH2M HILL, to Providence, Rhode Island, to become president and chief operating officer of Gilbane Building Co.
• The position is opening up because Bill Gilbane Jr., who has held it since 2004, is moving on to the role of vice chairman of the privately held contractor.
• McKelvy will be responsible for profit and loss throughout Gilbane while Bill Gilbane Jr. will be "helping our business units grow by supporting project teams on their key pursuits and working directly with clients to ensure continued operational excellence, client satisfaction and an ongoing superior safety record.”

McKelvy now is chief delivery officer at CH2M HILL. He also is on that firm's board of directors and has been executive vice president in charge of delivery federal-government projects. He also has run several of the company's business groups.
