Dive Brief:
- When worker Jason Evans was injured at the top of a 12-story tower crane at a construction site in North Dallas, highly trained firefighters climbed to his rescue.
- The crew from the Dallas Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue team climbed the tower's ladder to where Evans was conscious but apparently in a lot of pain.
- The firefighters put Evans in a rescue harness and lowered him down through the tower to medics on the ground.
Dive Insight:
It was not immediately clear how Evans had been injured. One report said he had been doing heavy lifting at the top of the rig.
