- Non-union contractors won a legal battle when the National Labor Relations Board threw in the towel on a plan to require employers to post notices reminding workers that they are legally entitled to try to organize and bargain for a contract.
- The NLRB had lost two court challenges to the proposed regulation and had until Jan. 2 to file a notice that it would take the matter to the Supreme Court – and it did not do that.

In a statement it issued Monday, the NLRB said it will keep up its "national outreach program to educate the American public" and still has a notice available on its website if employers want to post it anyway. AGC noted in announcing the victory that companies with federal contracts are governed by other rules that require posting the notice.
