The Tyre, NY, Town Board did not properly evaluate the proposed location for the $425 million Lago Casino Resort & Casino before permitting the construction, the court ruled. The group that brought the lawsuit included several Amish families whose homes are near the casino’s proposed location. Group members lauded the court’s ruling as “the light at the end of the tunnel,” their lawyer told The New York Times.
