- The vice president of finance at Jostin Construction organized an event called a Construction Come Together that brought professionals from six companies to volunteer at a United Way camp for disabled kids and young adults.
- Jostin's Whitney Eckert is on the board of Stepping Stones' camp and she had seen a similar effort last year among health-care workers.
- Along with Jostin, which is based in Walnut Hills, workers came from Danis in Dayton, Dugan & Myers Construction in Blue Ash, Messer Construction in Bond Hill and Turner Construction and Valley Interior in Cincinnati.

The day was a success when measured by the volunteers already signing up for a 2015 Construction Come Together. The goal was simply to be a new friend for some of the 425 campers – and to build workplace support for United Way.
