- Bernards, a commercial builder based in San Fernando, Calif., is realigning its top management, with two of the founding brothers, Doug and Jeff Bernards, now splitting the CEO and president titles, and several executives moving up to new positions.
- Doug Bernards will remain as CEO while Jeff Bernards oversees daily business and department coordination under the title of president; Greg previously held both titles.
- Greg Simons, who had been executive vice president, is now the chief operating officer, and Steve Pellegren, who had been vice president for pre-construction moves up to the spot Simons is vacating.

The company said the changes were part of planning for a fifth decade of growth. Doug Bernards said the new roles were "an important step in this process was our decision to realign our leadership structure...." The company has four offices in California the headquarters and one in Phoenix, Ariz.
