Dive Brief:
- Trulia, the real-estate data-gathering company, looks at what phrases are being used in advertising for high-end homes, and marble and glass are big now.
- "Windows" are mentioned in some form in four of the top 20 most-occurring phrases.
- The list is compiled for ads for homes that are listed at a price that is at least four times the metro area's median home price.
Dive Insight:
Trulia doesn't distinguish between listings for new and existing homes, but the list should give insights to builders who are targeting the high end. The downside is that Trulia compiles the list annually, and that might make it hard to build the most popular amenities into new construction. A crystal ball might be helpful as well as the list.
