- An accident whose cause remains unknown took the lives of two workers for Disney Construction, which has been building a road bridge over Putah Creek between Yolo and Solano counties.
- The Friday morning tragedy happened in Winter, on the Yolo side, while the men, one 25 and one 49, were about 80 feet up, and the basket hit timbers covering a 30-foot hole that had been dug for footings.
