Apple Inc. will spend $304 million to build a new campus in Austin, more than doubling its workforce in the capital of Texas over the next 10 years, Gov. Rick Perry’s office announced.
The move will add 3,600 jobs to the Cupertino, Calif.-based technology company’s existing 3,500 employees in Austin, supporting the company's growing operations in the Americas and in the region with expanded customer support, sales and accounting functions.
