Dive Insight:
Grapevine city officials worked with Dallas Regional Chamber and state officials to lure Kubota from Torrance, CA. “Thanks to our low-tax, low-regulation environment that allows all businesses to thrive, we are able to bring job creators like Kubota to Texas," Gov. Greg Abbott said.
Kubota said the move is expected to affect about 180 employees. They will be given the option to relocate to Texas and have relocation assistance, the company said.
Kubota joins Toyota Motor Corp and Farmer Brothers coffee, which are also moving their headquarters from Torrance, CA, to Texas.
