Tom Woods, president of Woods Custom Homes near Kansas City, was elected to the post on Thursday at NAHB’s International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. He previously served as first vice chairman.

In a press release, Woods said the association’s upcoming agenda will include advancing comprehensive housing finance reform, immigration reform, and other policies that promote homeownership.

Also moving up the leadership ladder to the first vice chairman position is Ed Brady, president of Bloomington, Ill.-based Brady Homes, which builds single-family units, apartment buildings, and light commercial properties.
