One South Florida attorney told the publication that the shortage of qualified plumbers, electricians, and other skilled trades inflates the number of lawsuits involving product and installation defects. The problem could be most acute in the condominium sector, between owner associations and developers, as well as between contractors and the HOAs. This advises developers to build “war chests” to pay for the increase in litigation.
